Brief DescriptionThonzonium bromide is a monocationic detergent.
-
DescriptionThonzonium bromide is a monocationic detergent.(In Vitro):Thonzonium bromide inhibits RANKL-induced OC formation, the appearance of OC-specific marker genes and bone-resorbing activity in vitro. Thonzonium bromide blocks the RANKL-induced activation of NF-κB, ERK and c-Fos as well as the induction of NFATc1 which is essential for OC formation. Thonzonium bromide disrupts F-actin ring formation resulting in disturbances in cytoskeletal structure in mature OCs during bone resorption. Thonzonium bromide exhibits protective effects in an in vivo murine model of LPS-induced calvarial osteolysis.

-
Neriifolin
Neriifolin (17β-Neriifolin), a cardiac glycoside extracted from the unripe fruit of Cerbera manghas, is a Na+K+-ATPase inhibitor with anticancer activity that inhibits cell proliferation by suppressing HOXA9-dependent gene expression and inducing apoptosis in the human acute myeloid cell line, THP-1.
-
Pyronine B
Pyronine B (NSC 44690) is a fluorophore with low relative fluorophore brightness and a small hydrophobic (SH) protein channel inhibitor, which is used for staining of bacteria and mycobacteria and in the spectrophotometric determination of ultra-trace ruthenium.
-
MPP+ iodide
MPP+ iodide, the metabolite of a neurotoxin MPTP, causes symptom of Parkinson's disease (PD) in animal models by selectively destroying dopaminergic neurons in substantia nigra.
